This is a 7 Days / 6 Nights package that starts and ends in Delhi. The route covers: Delhi → Rishikesh → Sonprayag → Kedarnath → Haridwar → Delhi. The Kedarnath trek itself is 18 km each way from Gaurikund, taking approximately 6–7 hours depending on your pace.

Priest assistance for prayers at Kedarnath temple
All applicable taxes
The following are not covered and must be arranged separately:
Airfare or train fare to/from Delhi
Lunch and beverages throughout the trip
Portage, Ponies, or Doli (palanquin) for the Kedarnath trek

Personal expenses — tips, laundry, phone calls, medication, liquor
Any costs due to natural calamities, medical emergencies, or evacuations
The trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath is 18 km uphill at high altitude (3,583 m / 11,755 ft), taking 6–7 hours for an average person. It is moderately challenging. Elderly or physically challenged pilgrims can opt for Ponies, Palanquins (Dolis), or Helicopter services — however these costs are not covered in the package and must be paid separately. Basic fitness is recommended for trekking participants.
Due to the remote Himalayan location of Kedarnath (3,583 m altitude), accommodation is provided in a Guest House — basic but comfortable enough for pilgrims. Hotels in Rishikesh, Sonprayag, and Haridwar are standard accommodations on double sharing basis. All accommodation is included in the package price.
Yes. Vehicles visiting Kedarnath and Badrinath require a fitness certificate and a special permit. Your SafeHands Travels driver will handle all permit formalities upon arrival in Rishikesh on Day 2 — you don't need to worry about this at all. This is included in your package at no extra cost.
The tour covers a rich mix of spiritual and scenic highlights:
Rishikesh: Ram Jhula, Bajrang Setu (glass bridge), Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan
En route: Kashi Vishwanath Temple at Guptkashi, sacred confluence at Sonprayag
Kedarnath: Kedarnath Baba Temple (Jyotirlinga), Bhairav Baba Temple, Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi
Haridwar: Mansa Devi Temple, Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri
Delhi: Last-minute shopping at Chandni Chowk, Sarojini Nagar, Khan Market & more
Air conditioning is available during drives on plains (Delhi–Rishikesh, Haridwar–Delhi). However, AC will be switched off during drives in hilly/mountain areas (Rishikesh to Sonprayag and back) as per standard safety regulations for Himalayan roads. Please carry comfortable layered clothing for the mountain stretches.
We recommend packing:
Warm layers — fleece, thermals & a windproof jacket (temperature at Kedarnath can drop near 0°C)
Comfortable trekking shoes with good grip
Rain poncho or waterproof jacket
Personal medications, sunscreen, and lip balm
A small daypack for the 18 km trek with water and snacks
Valid government photo ID (mandatory for registration)
Devotional items if you wish to perform puja (puja expenses are extra)
The Kedarnath region is prone to unpredictable weather, especially landslides and heavy snowfall. In case of disruption due to natural calamities, medical emergencies, or required evacuations, any additional costs incurred (accommodation, transport, evacuation) are not covered by the package and must be borne by guests. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance before your journey for your peace of mind.
